Things to do in Middletown, KY

Middletown, KY is situated in the north east corner of Jefferson County and is an affordable, comfortable “small town” living experience where neighbors genuinely care about each other. There is not really a consensus on how Middletown got its name but it is believed to have been the “middle” point between Louisville and Shelbyville. We have our own fire/EMS department as well as a local police division.

Nice offerings include events such as fireworks, parades, and farmers markets. We have easy access to multiple interstate exchanges and proximity to post offices, restaurants, shops, bars and the most amazing park system.

Beckley creek park offers not only a gorgeous outdoor space to take the dogs to the dog park or kids to the water park but also a network of mountain bike and walking trails. The park system is beautifully landscaped and well managed.

We have a great school district both public and private and plenty of activities for young and old alike. Middletown is growing with a number of opportunities and choices, whether you want to live in a “lock up and go” apartment or maintenance free patio home or a more sprawling single family home in a subdivision, there is urban living as well as suburban living, a plethora of choices awaits you here in Middletown.
